which are dealt with in a similar manner and which owing to their w -pleasant nature are never touched by the Customs and thus offer an additional amount of safety. They are, however, more difficult to ship.

Further there are decided advantages in shipping inside Castor Oil Tins. This article usually is sent out in original cases containing 4 tins of about 20 kilo each. I could have two tine emptied out and have them refilled with C. or . have them soldered up and repacked giving the whole the appearance of an original case. Each tin will hold about 50 to 60 os. In case of being opened the genuine

I can also use drums containing patrol jelly (vaseline)

on the bottom of which I would place the C. or M. inside a separate soldered tin, filling up the drum again with vaselins. In the same way I can also use margarine or similar articles.

In getting up shipments in this manner the precaution has to be taken to send along a few genuine packages which contain no C. or M. and which can be shown to the Customs, if actually required. This of couse would only mean an additional precaution which might not even be needed at all because on opening a package containing C. or . the Customs people will be faced with the harmless article i... Epsom Salte,

Anilin Salt, Vaseline, Margarine etc., etc., as the C. or . will be

deeply buried beneath these materials.

Another great success has been the shipment inside bales

of Wood wool which is handled in compressed bales which I can have hollowed out and filled up with C. or M. covering up the same with sufficient wood wood to give the whole the appearance of an original

bale.

These are a few of the devices I could use in making

shipments and these have proved very successful indeed. în your side

it is only needed to keep the whole matter strictly secret and allow

nobody neither clerk nor employé to pry into this matter and get to

know the true nature of these shipments and you are absolutely sure of

a full success in every direction.
